THE AUTHORS
Steve

East devon. Together with Sally Day and Emma Pring, Steve runs the
successful and intimate Axminster based 'i.e. theatre' the smallest
professional theatre in the UK.
Mary
Druce is a native of Exeter and currently resides in Cornwall where
she runs the popular ‘Gulls Theatre Group’. She has published 2 books of
poetry (one co written with Jon Crowley) and has just finished ‘Green
Glass Beads’ her first novel.
Now having turned her considerable talents to writing for the theatre
‘oneactplays’ looks forward to many subsequent funny and dramatic works
from the pen (or should that be the motherboard) of Mary
Christine Emmert
‘oneactplays’ are delighted to welcome the work of U.S. writer, actor
and director Christine Emmert.
Taking Shakespeare’s dictum of ‘all the World’s a stage’ Christine has
published poetry, short stories, and in the U.K. a children’s book
‘Titania’s Mountain’. She has published works in Canada and The U.S.A.
and lives ‘creatively’ in Pennsylvania with husband Richard.
John
Gregory
John has maintained a varied theatre life at times delving into
'thespian', directing, lighting and occasional stagehand modes!
Inevitably these experiences led to an interest in writing the fruits of
which are found in a variety of mediums including magazines and
periodicals, short stories, a novel and a biography! Although loving all
theatre formats he has a special and lasting passion for comedy.
Léon Pepall

Léon is an Essex boy who delights in being buried in rural seclusion
in his own County. Involved in theatre for most of his adult life Leon
was a familiar face on the stage of The Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford.
He now spends his time writing and in feverish pursuit of a friendly
publisher to accept his two recently completed novels. Currently he is
working with Local Authority road safety teams writing children’s
stories for the Footsteps Project and in his spare time looking to
finish his third novel and a three act stage comedy.
Peter
Lancaster Walker was born in Oakham Rutland and now resides in
Leicestershire. He has published some 30 plays, mostly in the USA and
Canada some of which have many performances behind them. He writes
comedy and drama and one of his musical books is translated into Dutch.
In addition to writing Peter is heavily involved in working in youth
drama in Leicestershire.
Brian
Langtry has spent some quarter of a century involved in music and
has written and published in excess of 150 songs. He has worked
extensively in television and radio both in performing music, acting and
writing. He combines his love of both music and theatre in the dual role
of running a small touring company - Beesknees Touring Theatre- and a
prodigious writing output with 5 five musicals and numerous one act and
full length plays over the past three years. In between time he works
with other musicians in his home based studio in Ashby-de-la-Zouch!
Sam Sterling lives and travels in the Peak District and is the
ubiquitous artist involving himself at various times with painting,
pottery, sculpting, music, drama, acting, directing oh, and the odd
spell of story telling! He retains an air of mystery about himself and
his whereabouts but is currently working on community arts projects.
Thankfully he still finds the occasional moment to capture the odd
flurry of writing.
